Recipe for Rhubarb Crumble

Not only will the taste of rhubarb surprise you but also its composition: it is a source of a high amount of vitamins and minerals, brimming with vitamin A and B, calcium and magnesium giving energy and slowing down ageing. Rhubarb contains also phosphorus preventing fatigue and supporting brain functions and it replenishes iron stores, which is good for the circulation and helps fight anaemia. Rhubarb improves vision and helps lose weight. Last but not least, it strengthens the immune system and has beneficial effects on the nervous system.

Recipe for delicious rhubarb crumble

  1. Erase the frypot with butter and preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Mix the rhubarb chopped with cane sugar and place in a baking dish.
  3. Mix 100g softened butter, 70g wholemeal flour, 70g lightly blended oatmeal, 100g cane sugar and a pinch of salt. Tiny will be perfect if you add 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
  4. Sprinkle the crumb with the prepared rhubarb, decorate the almond slices and bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
  5. Enjoy even warm crumble straight from the bowl. Serve with sour cream or vanilla ice cream.
