Original Czech Tradition
Traditional Czech products are made of easily accessible natural materials - clay, wood, withe, straw, linen… Thanks to the tools and many years of experience, most product forms have developped in almost pinpoint perfection. Traditional products appeal by perfect accessibility of material, by its sensitive processing, by application of natural material as well as its utility value, quality processing, durability and not least by aesthetic value of the products.

Straw
Straw is a traditional material which was used in the plaiting of various vessels, moulds and containers for keeping foodstuffs, harvest festival wreaths and straw decorations.

Corn husk
Corn husk from ripe corn cobs serve as a material for the manufacture of puppets and figures representing various countryside activities, household chores, church festivities or other traditional celebrations.

Ceramics
Bohemia is rich in quality raw materials for ceramics and porcelain. Current manufacturers respect tradition and enrich the original design. Ceramics is shaped either by a mere hand on a potter´s wheel or it is curved in plaster forms on the wheel.

Blueprint
Blueprint is a fabric dyeing technique which has been used in Bohemia since 18th century. The regular patterns are printed on 100% cotton by engraved wooden blocks. The printed fabrics is then soaked in a cold blue dye bath.

Turned painted toys
Originally manufactured at Skašov near Nepomuk and in the vicinity of Hlinsko in the Czech-Moravian Highlands at the beginning of the 19th century. The toys reflected the traditional liking of children – dolls for girls and soldiers for boys.

Czech wooden toys
Current toy producers follow the tradition of wooden toys in Bohemia from 19 century. Contemporary wooden toys combine the beauty of natural materials with original design. They give children ample scope for developing imagination and skills.
